RSTV uses the combination of a ReCam unit connected to CCTV cameras at a remote site (your home, office, factory or anywhere with cameras installed) and a PC or Laptop loaded with the RSTV DiCam software at the local site (where ever you have access to a computer) to view video images from up to 8 cameras.

With modems connected at either end you can connect by either standard phone lines (PSTN), digital lines (ISDN), Mobile networks (GSM), permanent leased lines, Direct cable connection, 2 way radio, and even satellite links. With speeds of up to 25 frames per second.

With an RSTV ReCam unit at the remote site and using a PC/Laptop loaded with the DiCam software you too can view/listen/talk/control what is happening at your premises anytime and from anywhere in the world!

Amongst the many built in standard features of the RSTV transmitter and software system are:

8 Alarm inputs: Connect your existing alarm equipment such as PIR's, Redwalls, panic buttons and Fire alarm systems to the RSTV system and it will not only dial your number to show what's happening live but will also show and save images from when and even before the alarm event occurred.
2 way audio communication: Listen to what's happening live at your premises and even talk back to people at your site. Connected to speakers this offers an excellent means of warning off intruders.
Up to 128kbps Connections: RSTV will connect using bundled twin ISDN or leased line connections giving you up to 25 frames per second (hex mode).
Pan/Tilt/Zoom: Remotely control PTZ cameras to make sure you know exactly what is going on when you are not around (built in RS422/485 control port).
Relay Control: Switch any electrical device On/Off remotely using 2 inbuilt auxiliary switches on the RSTV transmitter. Close doors, turn on lights remotely at the click of a button!
Digital Storage: Real Time Storage of Video and Alarm Events - each camera on the RSTV system can be programmed to record during a specific time frame with alarm and activity detection enabled or disabled. Live images, Alarm images and even upto 6000 pre alarm images can be stored and downloaded off the remote RSTV Transmitter. With the use of our digital storage units  upto 3 weeks worth of images can be stored and accessed remotely (or locally). These images can be downloaded for permanent storage onto your PC.
Completely user programmable - all functions of the RSTV system are remotely user programmable.

A communications Device
An external modem (56k recommended) or ISDN terminal adapter is then plugged into the back of the transmitter and connected to its relevant telephone line. (direct cable, leased line, GSM, 2 way radio and satellite links also available)

A PC or Laptop Computer
A Pentium 100 or above, computer system with a modem or ISDN T/A and a video resolution of at least 800x600 16 bit colour, is required. Running Win95, Win98 or WinNT 4.

The RSTV DiCam Software
A licensed copy of the DiCam software is the last required device and will allow you to enjoy the full functionality of the RSTV system.

System Improvements
To make your RSTV system work harder for you there are a number of extra devices available:

• ReSwitch16 - Allows you to connect 16 cameras to a single RSTV ReCam Unit

• DiLapse - Digital storage device. Acts as a digital video recorder which can be accessed remotely and without the need to replace tapes. Consistent unchanging image quality.
